The Difficult we do at Once,
The Impossible takes a bit longer."
Welcome to Technology Services' home page. We hope to provide the most up-to-date information from a technology perspective for those interested. As this is a continuing work in progress, we encourage you to come back often to check on what updates we may publish within these pages.
Laurens School District 56 requires that all employees read and sign an Internet/Network/Computer Acceptable Use Agreement.
In order for students to access the Internet on District 56 equipment, each student must read, sign, and have his/her Parent/Guardian and Teacher read and sign an Internet/Network/Computer/Cell Phone PEDAcceptable Use Agreement.
These Policies contains critical information applying to the use of Internet technology provided by the District.
Technology Services' purpose is, of course, to enable employees and students in the District to make the most of their opportunities for teaching and learning. To that end, the Technology Department is constantly working on improving the tools used to realize the maximum benefit from not only the Internet experience, but any technology that we support.
We are all about helping people learn by using the best technology available. Students are asked to learn new skills to better prepare them for life and dealing with the everyday events they will encounter. Teachers are asked to give the students the opportunity to learn and develop those skills.
Our job is to provide the environment in which all this takes place, primarily, but not limited to, the use of computers.
