Grant Awards for Laurens 56
Laurens County School District 56 has received five (5) Wellness Inspired School Environment (WISE) grants from the BlueCross® BlueShield® of South Carolina Foundation. These grants were awarded to Clinton Elementary, Joanna-Woodson Elementary, Eastside Elementary, Clinton Middle and Clinton High. The grants are to support the Physical Education departments in implementing their Healthy Schools programs to better serve children in the district. Each school will be receiving new equipment or supplies for their Physical Education classes.
The BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
The grant for Eastside Elementary was written for equipment (see picture) that assists children with flexibility and agility during PE classes.
